We’ll meet you at Bogotá’s El Dorado Airport and transfer you to your hotel so you can rest and begin acclimatizing to the altitude. Our mechanic will be on hand to assemble and fine-tune your bike. In the evening we’ll gather for a welcome briefing to meet the team and go over the details of the tour, followed by a special welcome dinner — good food, new friends and the excitement of the days ahead.

60km 850m ascent  We started the day with a leisurely ride around the outskirts of Bogotá, designed to help us acclimatize to the altitude while enjoying the typical Andean savanna scenery. The route is perfect for getting our bodies moving and appreciating the natural environment surrounding the Colombian capital. After a hearty lunch, we'll head to the heart of Bogotá to ascend Monserrate, one of the city's most iconic landmarks, where you'll enjoy breathtaking panoramic views. Upon descending, we'll stroll through the colonial streets of the historic center, a vibrant area brimming with color, street art, heritage architecture, and hidden corners that tell the living story of the country. It will be an unforgettable day to connect with the altitude, the local rhythm and the cultural essence of Bogotá, combining nature, history and tradition in a single day. Sudando Colombia
125 km 1.200m ascent Leaving Bogotá’s altitude behind, we’ll descend into warmer lands. After a short vehicle transfer out of the city, our unforgettable ride takes us to Honda, a charming colonial town on the Magdalena River. The route is as varied as it is fascinating: for much of the journey, we cycle through the Magdalena River valley, surrounded by mountains, tropical vegetation, and rural villages that reveal another side of Colombia. The transition from cool to humid heat makes this stage a unique experience, both physically and sensorially. In the afternoon, we will explore the colonial streets of Honda on foot, cross its historic bridges, and take a local food tour, tasting the delicious and diverse fruits that the region has to offer. To end the day, we will share a comforting dinner and have a technical briefing with all the details of the great challenge that awaits us the next day: the ascent to the mythical Alto de Letras.
